Green PC / Charities
For those of you with green aspirations there is an organisation that allows you to download a small application onto your computer that will reduce your energy useage as and when the computer is not fully occupied.
I have been using this for approx 3 months and have not noticed any loss of performance or other inconvenience.
So far it has only been built for Windows XP.
The company is a certified partner of Microsoft which is always worth knowing if you are about to download an application from an unknown organisation!
